A brand new type of live show, never to be recreated, is set to kick off around Australia this July & August, starring some of the country's biggest names in music!
After taking a brief hiatus to wait out a global pandemic, one of Australia’s most beloved and unique live music events, ‘Georgia Mooney’s SUPERGROUP’ is officially returning to the stage in 2022, with a massive line up of special guests and live shows taking place outside of Sydney for the very first time!
Joining Georgia Mooney (All Our Exes Live In Texas) on stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in July and August this year will be; globally acclaimed musician and comedian Tim Minchin, Australian alt-indie icon Josh Pyke, Ball Park Music’s Sam Cromack, radiant soul singer Ngaiire, lead singer of Middle Kids Hannah Joy and ARIA nominated artist Mo’Ju.
The lineup doesn’t stop there, with a massive list of Australian musicians including Maple Glider, Bob Evans, Martha Marlow, Ruby Gill, Hope D, Jeremy Neale, Elizabeth, KYE, Ryan Downey, Seja and Butterfingers very own Evil Eddie all set to appear in venues along Australia’s east coast in the back half of the year.

With the musical prowess of Rockwiz and the charm of Spicks and Specks, all fused together with live music, interviews and stories you’re unlikely to hear anywhere else, SUPERGROUP is a live show like no other.
Each night, a beautiful mish-mash of Australia’s favourite songwriters come together to form a band for one night only. Seated in a semi-circle and backed by the incredible SUPERGROUP House Band (comprising some of the best session players in the country), guests take turns to perform songs while the others join in beside them; no rehearsals, no prior knowledge of what’s about to happen – just live music as it’s never been heard before, and never will again.
Taking cues from the sparkling TV variety shows of the 50’s and 60’s, SUPERGROUP will also be working with local set designers in each city, ensuring that each venue becomes a uniquely magnificent - albeit temporary - part of the live experience.

Originally debuting at Sydney’s Giant Dwarf Theatre in April 2019 as part of an Artist in Residence program, Georgia Mooney’s SUPERGROUP quickly began to pick up steam, drawing fans from across Sydney for 8 glorious, jam-packed concerts.
With special guest performances from the likes of Tim Minchin, Montaigne, Tim Rogers, Lisa Mitchell, Paul McDermott, Clare Bowditch, Urthboy and many more, SUPERGROUP provided audiences a rare opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insight into songwriting as well as listen to never before heard stories from artists, as Georgia Mooneyinterviews each guest about their creative process, their inspiration, their experience and funny stories from their careers.
Each night the line up of the songwriters changes, therefore no two shows are the same. It is an original, intimate, experimental and heartfelt musical experience that fosters and showcases Australian songwriting and connects the people who write songs with the people who love them - in a brand-new way.

ABOUT GEORGIA MOONEY
Georgia Mooney is one of Australia’s foremost singer-songwriters and a rising media personality. As one quarter of ARIA winning indie-folk band, All Our Exes Live in Texas, she has circumnavigated the globe multiple times over, captivating the masses and penning songs and stories from every corner. The Exes have received critical acclaim from all directions and picked up a slew of musical trophies.
In her own right, Georgia is a remarkable solo artist and a dazzling host. Her voice is at once bold and fragile and her melodies, beguiling and transcendent. Georgia’s songs artfully carry you from the intimate to the allegorical.
